Water-cooled MIG Guns
Water-cooled MIG Guns
Design Description
Water-cooled MIG guns are designed to include a water coolant system in order to keep the temperature of the torch to a usable degree. The coolant system is required to make this gun operate how it is supposed to work. With that, the gun offers optimal comfort by keeping the heat out of the welder's concerns. Paired with its ergonomic feel and user-friendly design features, this gun is a great choice for welder comfort. Interchangeable necks, ball-socket bases, and long triggers are among the most notable features.
Necks
Removable and interchangeable neck designs are available to create a unique feel for each welder's needs. The design includes free-moving necks, which can sustain operator comfort longer as the welder themselves can determine how to maneuver their gun. The slim handle and ball socket at the handle base make for more comfortable welding operations.
Nozzles
Water-cooled guns will keep your contact tips and nozzle in great condition for longer. The cool exterior of the gun allows for these features to be more resistant to wear due to the lower temperatures.
Power Sources
This type of MIG gun uses water to cool the system. The heat of the gun is transferred through a radiator, into a holding tank, and back into the gun once cooled. The required coolant system will add additional costs to the operation, but does offer a number of benefits that make this welding torch worth the investment.
