Engel Transverse Duct Flange (TDF) Roll Formers
Engel Transverse Duct Flange (TDF) Roll Formers
Instead of add-on flange, roll forming your own sealable flanges on transverse duct joints during the fabrication process has never been easier. Engel Transverse Duct Flange (TDF) Roll Formers produce flange on the machine’s left-hand auxiliary, and has unique, snap-in corners that eliminate spot welding. Optional rolls are also available for Z-Bar and Clip. Engel’s line-up of TDF Roll Formers include:
- Model HB-1640: uses 16 roll-forming stations and operates at a speed of 75 feet per minute. There are no adjustments when going from 26 gauge to 18 gauge material (competition requires adjustments) and the “short parts feeder” — 6″ length minimum — requires no manual adjustment and removal of machine guard when running short parts (competition does).
- Model TDF: uses 16 roll-forming stations and operates at a speed of 50-60 feet per minute. This is the only transverse duct connector machine on the market certified to comply with SMACNA Duct Construction Standard (DCS) T-25b based on actual laboratory tests across the full range of water gauges.
Each model also features:
- Rated for 18-26 gauge mild steel (22 gauge for optional clip rolls)
- Unitized steel construction
- High yield and tensile strength shafts and “off the shelf” ball bearings
- Heavy duty gears are Mod4 (6 pitch) heavy duty style
- Extended roll shafts for mounting auxiliary rolls, one side outboard only
- Optional tooling sets available for outboard mounting
- All steel forming head, hardened steel infeed guide and hardened steel forming rolls mounted on turned and ground spindles
- No adjustments necessary when going from 26ga to 18ga material
- Includes Snap Flange Feature
- Comes standard with short parts feeder
- 16 Station includes Patented TDF Rolls
